NCAA Final Four Tonight in Atlanta College Basketball

The NCAA Division I Women’s Basketball Final Four Tournament is an annual college basketball tournament for women.

NCAA Final Four college Basketball Sports NewsThe tournament begins in March, the Women’s Championship was inaugurated in the 1981–82 season.

The NCAA tournament was preceded by the AIAW Women’s Basketball Tournament, which was held annually from 1972 to 1982. Basketball was one of 12 women’s sports added to the NCAA championship program for the 1981–82 school year, as the NCAA engaged in battle with the Association for Intercollegiate Athletics for Women for sole governance of women’s collegiate sports.

The AIAW continued to conduct its established championship program in the same 12 (and other) sports; however, after a year of dual women’s championships, the NCAA prevailed, while the AIAW disbanded.

Dallas will Host Super Bowl XLV

Dallas will Host Super Bowl XLV and the Cowboys Will Have to Give Their Best This Season!

The Dallas Cowboys have some extra motivation to play their best this upcoming season, considering that the Super Bowl will be played in their home stadium.

If the Cowboys manage to get to the next Super Bowl, they could become in the first team to play a Super Bowl on their home field.  And this may be possible, considering that they come into this upcoming season as the big favorites in the NFL lines to win first place in the NFC East.

However, I can’t ignore the fact that the Cowboys are in one of the toughest divisions in the league. But I still think that they can win the divisional title, taking into account that the team was strengthened during the offseason.
Also, the team has the best quarterback in the division. Tony Romo accumulated more than 4,000 yards last season and also has shown great progress in the level of his game, achieving his best season as a professional player last year.

Romo also has a great group of running backs and a new wide receiver, Dez Bryant, who is expected to do great things for the Cowboys this upcoming season.

But the group of running backs for the Cowboys will have to fight for the starting position.

Felix Jones has achieved better numbers than Marion Barber, but the 27-year-old running back, Barber, has shown to have a great potential to be the key player that the team needs. I also think that these players could form a great team of running backs along with Tashard Choice.

On the other hand, the Cowboys offense was the second in the league last season, while they were ranked among the ten best defenses of the league in the 2009 season.

The Cowboys also have DeMarcus Ware, a good defensive player and who had his best season in 2008. DeMarcus has demonstrated to have what it takes to be a great player and I think we can expect an outstanding performance this season.

Finally, for the 2010 season, the Cowboys need to keep their consistency and a great level if they want to win the division title and if they want to play in the Super Bowl at home.

Super Bowl XLIII was an American football game between the American Football Conference (AFC) champion Pittsburgh Steelers and the National Football Conference (NFC) champion Arizona Cardinals to decide the National Football League (NFL) champion for the 2008 season. The Steelers defeated the Cardinals by the score of 27–23. The game was played on February 1, 2009, at Raymond James Stadium in Tampa, Florida.

With this victory, the Steelers became the first team to win six Super Bowls. The win was also Pittsburgh’s second Super Bowl victory in four years, after winning Super Bowl XL at the end of the 2005 season. The Cardinals entered the game seeking their first NFL title since 1947, the longest championship drought in the league. The club became an unexpected winner during the regular season, compiling a 9–7 record, and the playoffs with the aid of head coach Ken Whisenhunt, who was the Steelers’ offensive coordinator in Super Bowl XL, and the re-emergence of quarterback Kurt Warner, who was the Super Bowl MVP in Super Bowl XXXIV with his former team, the St. Louis Rams.

Pittsburgh jumped to a 17–7 halftime lead, aided by linebacker James Harrison’s Super Bowl record 100-yard interception return for a touchdown. Trailing 20–7 at the start of the fourth quarter, Arizona scored 16 consecutive points, including wide receiver Larry Fitzgerald’s 64-yard touchdown reception, to take the lead with 2:37 remaining in the game. But the Steelers marched 78 yards to score on wide receiver Santonio Holmes’ 6-yard game-winning touchdown catch with 35 seconds left. Holmes, who caught nine passes for 131 yards and a touchdown, including four receptions for 73 yards on that final game-winning drive, was named Super Bowl MVP. He became the sixth wide receiver to win the award, and also was the third Pittsburgh receiver to win the award, following Lynn Swann and Hines Ward.

Despite the global financial crisis and limited amount of ancillary festivities that are normally held before the game, the NBC television network broadcast attracted an average U.S. audience of 98.7 million viewers, making it the most watched Super Bowl in history at that point.
