Lil Wayne Tour Bus Shooter Surrenders in Cobb County, Georgia

Man arrested in Lil Wayne tour bus shootingThe guy who is believed to be the person who shot up Lil Wayne’s tour bus in April has surrender to authorities.

Jimmy Carlton Winfrey, 25,  turned himself in early Tuesday morning in Cobb County, Georgia.  He is being held without bail.

He faces charges of aggravated assault,  threats, possession of a firearm by a felon, and criminal gang activity.

The shooting occurred as the rapper and crew were leaving after a  performance at the Compound nightclub located on Brady Ave NW, Atlanta, GA.  The shooting occurred as the two buses traveling along on I-285 near I-75.

According to sources…Winfrey has ties to one of Lil Wayne’s rivals…Atlanta rapper “Young Thug” aka Jeffery Williams.

Winfrey, was convicted of drug possession in Florida in October and sentenced to two years probation,  He was  also charged by Cobb police with two misdemeanors, reckless conduct and discharging a firearm on or near a public highway.
