Aerosmith frontman and former “American Idol” Steven Tyler…reportedly thinks that the latest “Idol” feud between the shows two new female judges…pop diva Mariah Carey and “Super Base” singer Nicki Minaj is nothing more than an attempt to increase the shows ratings.
NOTE: The 11th season premiere of “American Idol” attracted 21.6 million viewers, which was down 18% from the 26.25 million that tuned in for last season’s premiere. –That’s the biggest premiere ratings freefall . . . from season to season . . . in the show’s history.
Last night…Tyler was caught leaving a L.A. restaurant. The famous rocker was reportedly ask about the feud between the once cordial stars…Tyler was brief and quick to make known that he thinks it all just a a publicity stunt. Tyler was also ask if he was ever going to return to the “Idol” judges panel…His reply “I’m not ever going back!”
Idol producers issued the following statement about the “girl drama.”…This is one of the best, most passionate, dynamic and invested judging panels we’ve ever had. We love and support all of the judges and the fantastic work they are doing, and we can’t imagine a better group to find the next American Idol. Despite all the accusations and media speculation – much of which is inaccurate.”
