Tiger Woods Wins Arnold Palmer Invitational

Tiger Woods won the Arnold Palmer Invitational at Bay Hill in Orlando, Fla. yesterday, making it  his first PGA Tour event  win in more than two years.

Woods shot a -13 winning by five strokes.

His last win was at the BMW Championship  in Chicago making it his last win since his sex scandal at the end of 2009  which led to one of the greatest downfalls in sports.

Woods did win the Chevron World Challenge, however, this was not a PGA tournament.

There had been concerns that Woods could not play in this event due to injury.  Woods withdrew from  WGC- Cadillac Championship on March 11th,  after  injuring his left leg. Woods was favoring his left leg , the one that he underwent four surgeries.

Woods goes to No. 6 in the world, returning to the top 10 for the first time since May 22.

His next big tournament will be next month’s Masters, the Grand Slam event held each year in Augusta, Georgia.

Tiger Woods Injury Update

As we reported yesterday…Tiger Woods withdrew from the WGC-Cadillac Championship after an injury to his left leg.   Now details regarding the nature of his injury have surfaced. According to sources…Woods left the tournament because of a sore left Achilles.
