Tim Tebow’s Back Is Fine
Tim Tebow lives under a microscope now, and everything he does, or doesn’t do.
Such was the case this past weekend.
When Urban Meyer announced Saturday that Tebow had been held out of a scrimmage to rest a sore lower back, it quickly became national news.
On Monday, after being full-go at practice, Tebow said he didn’t understand why his back became such a big deal.

“The first thing is mom and dad, ‘Is everything OK?’ ‘Mom, I’m fine,’ “ Tebow said. “Everything is good. I think it’s funny. I think more than anything it makes people worry, friends of the family say, ‘Is he OK?’ He’s OK.”
The Heisman Trophy winner is “100 percent” and will participate in full practices next week, Coach Urban Meyer said.

USC Trojans
Relative strengths: Offensive Line, Secondary Relative weaknesses: Defensive Line, Quarterback What to watch for on offense: The offensive line. Yeah, it’s rough to focus on interior linemen, when Damian Williams, Stafon Johnson, and Joe McKnight are on the playground, but these Trojans are worth the discipline.
Oklahoma Sooners
Relative strengths: Quarterback, Defensive Line Relative weaknesses: Secondary, Receiver What to watch for on offense: The offensive line. Last year’s front five was the best in America, and this year it has to replace tackle Phil Loadholt, guards Duke Robinson and Brandon Walker, and center Jon Cooper.
Texas Longhorns
Relative strengths: Quarterback, Offensive Line Relative weaknesses: Secondary, Running Back What to watch for on offense: The young receivers. The running backs will again operate by committee, with the hope to do more so Colt McCoy doesn’t have to lead the team in rushing again, and the offensive line should pave the way for a more consistent season.
Georgia Bulldogs
Relative strengths: Offensive Line, Linebacker Relative weaknesses: Quarterback, Secondary What to watch for on offense: The line. It’s the walking wounded going into the fall with so many key players recovering from a slew of issues, led by star left tackle Trinton Sturdivant coming off a bad knee injury.
